Abstract

Electronic-Prescribing, Computerized Prescribing or E-Rx has expanded drastically of late in the American medical services framework, a very much past due option in contrast to the composed structure for the just about five billion medication therapies yearly. In India, some private hospitals had started using e-prescription, but a major step was taken by government of West Bengal in August 2014 when they started the process of issuing e-prescriptions instead of hand-written instructions in top government hospitals. E-Rx reduces the time spent by rewriting the charts of prescription and much more. E-prescription can enter prescription and drug information into a computer device and securely transmit the prescription to required personnel using a software program. This project aims in designing a system which enhances prescribing and dispensing medical records, patient’s confidentiality and decreasing medication error.
