Abstract

Nowadays, biometric authentication is a key feature for user identification in many applications. Most of the applications that are present in the market are using external hardware for user authentication, which increase the cost of the entire application. In this project, we are going to develop a methodology to authenticate the user using a mobile application. This application uses a real-time database to check the authenticity of the user as quickly as possible. This application can only be run on the specific organization server, as we all know that data security is a key aspect of any application so that only an authorized user can access the sensitive data or feature of the application. This project work presents a hybrid mobile application that can run on multiple platforms such as android, IOS as well as windows platform without changing the code at all. This work aims to build a user authentication system, in which the legitimate user is authorized by pointing out features from his unique signature. A signature, unlike the handwritten signing tradition, is the fingerprint of the user which is unique and useful for an authentication mechanism. This basic idea is to build a project is that marks the attendance or presence of a particular user of the organization. The application can only be accessible by the organization's private network. Whenever the user enters the premises of the organization, he or she can open the application in their mobile devices and just by scanning their finger they are marked present on that particular day.
