Abstract

Serverless is a word which consist of two separate words, “Server" and "less" which means no server but it is not true because serverless does not mean no server but it refers to one less thing to worry about for developers. Serverless is a method in which the company does not have to own any servers for the database or anything. All they have to take care is the backend of code and deployment. Serverless is also known as the future of the cloud computing. Serverless System providers do all the management tasks related to the servers (scalability, maintenance). This helps companies to save lots of resources and time. Serverless architecture has gained significant popularity in recent years due to its ability to reduce infrastructure management overhead and improve scalability. This architecture allows developers to build and run applications without the need for server management, as the cloud provider takes care of the underlying infrastructure. With the rapid growth of the Internet of Things (IoT), the implementation of serverless architecture has become increasingly important in this domain. In this study, we explore the implementation of serverless architecture on IoT devices. We discuss the benefits of serverless architecture for IoT, such as reducing operational costs, improving scalability, and enhancing the reliability of IoT applications. We also examine the challenges of implementing serverless architecture on IoT devices, such as security concerns, limited resources, and connectivity issues.
