Analysis of Wormhole Attack Detection Techniques

Abstract

Ad hoc Network is different from the traditional fastened network as the cables are replace with the receiving wires is a typical misguided judgment. The mobile ad hoc networks have not included any central controller and it is the decentralized kind of network. This network allows the configuration of mobile node with random topology. Due to this unique nature of the network, malicious nodes can invade the network and trigger various types of active and passive attacks. Wormhole attacks are active attacks that can affect network performance in terms of lag. In this paper, various schemes for the detection of wormhole attack are reviewed in terms of various parameters.
