Abstract

Machine translation (MT) is the process of automatically translating the content from one language (the Source or the input) into another (The Target or the Output) by the use of Artificial Intelligence. The advantage of machine translation is that it can translate large amounts of text in a very short period of time. Translation was one of the first implementations of computing power, beginning in the 1950s. This Project focuses mainly on to understand "What is Machine Translation" and its first sub question that “What are the types of Machine Translation” and the second sub question of study is “Which machine translation type should I use?” The methodology that used in this research is Secondary data we use take the data from different books and URL’s. There are translators who understand their job as a process of replacing words from one language to another, without being much concerned about the context, meaning, style and other elements of communication (while the communication of meaning between languages is the very essence of translation), and this is the type of translators than can be replaced by MT.
