Abstract
There are various plans and implementations for smart city. Many countries have been working in this field to implement the concept of smart city effectively. Time and human effort will be saved by establishing smart cities. Quality of life will enhance and exposure to knowledge will be possible on implementing smart cities. Smart city ensures cyber security. The technology used in smart cities are IoT (internet of things), artificial intelligence (AI) and block chain. Smart city is related to smart energy. It helps in utilizing energy around us like solar energy, wind energy. This review paper explores the concept of smart cities and its impact on society. Smart cities are emerging as a new era of life, where technology and innovation are driving urban development towards more sustainable, efficient, and livable cities. The paper begins by defining the concept of smart cities and providing an overview of their key features and characteristics.
