MetaMask Referendum DApp Voting System Using the Concept of Blockchain

Abstract

As an emerging field of research, Blockchain applications offer a faster, cheaper, and more secure way of maintaining records. This can help businesses and consumers benefit from financial transactions that are open and transparent. The study aimed to enhance the current online voting system through the implementation of Blockchain technology. By doing so, it can significantly reduce the effort needed to set up physical election booths and conduct traditional voting. The system also enables residents living outside India to cast their votes online, thereby making the voting process more accessible and convenient. The main task of the system is to ensure that the vote is being casted by the user be calculated and stored. The study about the system shows the utilization of smart contracts written in solidity, which enables secure and cost-efficient solution as well as ensures privacy.
