Abstract

India's animal population has increased significantly, from 7 million in 2006 to 10 million in 2018. Many people, however, find it difficult to care for pets, especially when they must go away for a few days or are unable to have pets for a variety of reasons. As a result, there have been several cases of pet adoption since some individuals love their pets but are unable to care for them in the long run. It may be tough and exhausting to raise animals. This problem has led to the creation of an app as a practical and less resource-intensive method of pet monitoring. To ensure that cats and dogs are treated fairly, the app places a strong emphasis on animal safety and legal protection. Smart mobile devices can offer pet owners advice and help with the care of their dogs when they must be away for a few days thanks to the rising ubiquity of GPS-enabled mobile devices in various areas and the newest developments in information technology. With the help of this software, temporary pet care difficulties like locating appropriate lodging and providing correct care should be made easier. Users may effortlessly utilize the application anytime, anyplace because it is particularly made for Android smartphones. The project's main goal is to utilize this Android-based program to instruct users on how to take care of their pets, feed them, and find temporary adoptive homes using mobile platforms. The app has functions including personalized pet matching based on users' lifestyles and hobbies, a large database with in-depth details, images, and descriptions of numerous animals, as well as a simple interface for adoption. The app also provides useful tools including community forums that encourage cooperation and information exchange among pet owners and instructional pamphlets on pet assistance and care. This software aims to increase adoption rates, promote pet health, and make life more enjoyable for both pet owners and animals by providing a user-friendly interface, personalized pet matching capabilities, extensive information resources, and ease of use.
