Abstract

COVID-19 has brought the entire world to a halt. Doctors, healthcare workers, and many other services were fighting this pandemic on the front lines. Wearing a face mask in public places is more effective, according to the World Health Organization (WHO). According to the reports, wearing the masks while working clearly shows that it reduces the risk of transmission. We will be using the dataset to build a face mask detector with computer vision using Python, OpenCV, TensorFlow and Keras. Our main goal is to determine whether or not the person in an image is wearing a face mask. The system's method is designed in such a way that it uses a video camera to capture images of people and apply detecting algorithms. After successfully implementing face mask detection using a video camera to detect people wearing and not wearing a face mask, the calculation detection percentage can be displayed in a variety of ways using visualization algorithms and thus used for real time detection.
