Abstract

Project managers can utilize an online tracking system software to monitor project progress, delegate tasks, and work together with team members in real-time. Such systems often comprise features like task lists, time tracking, and reporting capabilities. The online tracking system for project management (OTS) provides a centralized platform for students, project managers to manage all aspects of all projects, including task assignments, deadlines, progress monitoring, and evaluation. Students can use the system to create and manage their own groups, and the project guide assigned to each group can provide guidance and support throughout the project. The progress chart generated for each group includes information such as task dependencies and timelines which can be used to track progress and identify any potential issues or delays. The project leader can use this information to delegate tasks and ensure that each group is on track to complete their project on time. The criteria used to evaluate each project may differ based on the unique needs of the project and the academic institution involved. However, the system allows for flexibility in defining the evaluation criteria, which can be adjusted as needed throughout the project. The purpose of this research work is to provide an overview of the online tracking system in project management, its benefits and drawbacks, methodologies used in its implementation, and its overall effectiveness.
