Abstract

With modern day technologies inclined heavily toward creating a smart ecosystem for living life, the responsibility of the fittest technology is lending help from artificial intelligence. But the provision of ethics and fairness is becoming a hurdle in efficient deployment of AI tools and techniques. With an element of social responsibility cropping into the smartness of technologies used to develop smart cities, our article is an attempt to review the concerns and future challenges faced by researchers in this domain. We have performed a well thought critical analysis regarding the various aspects of socially responsible AI and also brought issues to the forefront which will make this as emerging research area in years to come.
