Abstract

When projects become more complex, flaws or bugs become a problem in the system, and they are almost always unavoidable in software development. A problem could be in the source code or the design of a software. During the construction of a system, a large number of defects were discovered. Managing bugs in simple word documents or remembering everything in one’s head is difficult. As a result, having an adequate bug tracking tool becomes critical. The bug tracking tool improves team collaboration, and all issues and modifications are stored in a web-based system, making the system scalable. The goal of this research is to look at several hug monitoring methods and come up with a new set of selection criteria. The goal of this research is to examine several hug tracking systems and develop a new set of selection criteria that will provide a more satisfying answer, since the industry need criteria to select the best tool among the available solutions for bug fixing and tracking.
