Abstract

In this paper, we propose a new scheme based on crypto-trace for open source development, It is based on the method of representing the elements of a subgroup of the multiplicative group of the finite field GF (p12) *. The security of this public key cryptosystem is based on difficult mathematical problems i.e., the discrete logarithm problem on the subgroup of a multiplicative group of a finite field GF(p12)* of order dividing p2+p+1.This public key improves the standard XTR public key cryptosystem, but it is one step ahead from the XTR public key cryptosystem. This cryptosystem is practical and secure both. The application of this public key cryptosystem in cryptographic protocol leads to substantial savings both in communication and computational overhead without compromising the security. Lenstra and Verheuel are the motivators for this research. The compact idea of this work is based on the study of the literatures.
