“User Interface” is also known by its infamous form (short) as “UI”. The user interface represents the layout of an application in graphics layer. The user interface includes the items with which the user can interact with, for example, clickable buttons, readable text, text entry fields, images, etc. These interactions include screen layouts, grids, transitions, animations, thus ranging from macro to micro interactions. They include both input and output devices such as keyboards, mice, trackpads, microphones, touch screens, fingerprint scanners, e-pens, and cameras. Interface design is used in a wide range of projects, from computer systems to automobiles to commercial planes; all of these projects involve many of the same basic human interactions while also requiring some specialized skills and knowledge. As a result, designers tend to specialize in specific types of projects and have skills that are focused on their area of expertise, whether it is software design, user research, web design, or industrial design.
