Abstract

This research examines the usage of e-learning facilities in Yobe State's tertiary institutions, with an emphasis on Umar Suleiman College of Education in Gashua. The specific purposes of the study were to find out the availability of e-learning facilities and ascertain the attitude of teachers towards the use of e-learning facilities in delivering lectures in Umar Suleiman College of Education, Gashua. Two research questions were design and used to guide this study. The population of the study was teachers of USCOE Gashua of which five percent was sampled. The research was conducted using a descriptive survey research approach. The test-retest approach was employed to determine the instrument's dependability, and the reliability coefficient was calculated using the Pearson Product Moment Correlation coefficient. The data was examined using mean statistics. The summary of the findings for this study revealed that availability of e-learning facilities is grossly inadequate, and that despite the lack of adequte e-learning facilities in the institution, the attitude of lectures towards the use of e-learning facilities during instructions delivery in USCOE Gashua is positive. Based on the findings, recommendations were made for implementation of the research.
