Open-Source Learning Management Systems: Positive and Negative Aspects

Abstract

The paradigm of education has changed due to the usage of information and communication technology, from traditional learning to online learning. It offers the chance to learn at anytime, anyplace. E-learning also makes it possible to exchange and manage professional knowledge and abilities, as well as to deliver the appropriate information to the appropriate individuals whenever they need it. There are numerous software programmes that offer a setting for distance learning. Moodle is one of the open-source tools that has been gaining popularity in e-learning systems all over the world. The numerous well-known open-source learning management systems for online learning are discussed in this study.
